FS/TW: 88 CRX Si FS
GI on selling my CRX, if I don't sell it this year, I'll be doing more work on it over fall/winter and selling it next summer. First off i'm an honest guy, and am willing to point out the flaws in this car, and i won't BS you or anything if you want to come see it. Car was previously ls-vtec turbo, then ls-vtec supercharged. Restarted with a full GSR for a basic well performing car before i put boost back into it. Car was originally pretty poorly done, but i've done a lot to it. Engine wiring is fairly clean for a swap. Everything i've done to this car since i got it has been done right, as you can tell by the parts I've put into it. I've dumped more cash into this thing than it's worth, but right now It's time to move on. You can be the judge for most things, i'll do my best to outline everything notable at a first-looker. Open to trades for EP3 parts, nice DD, or a bike. Currently sitting at 5kOBO as i believe it's a fair price. As it sits:
Body:
88 CRX Si originally black
colour is currently very close to EP3 Vivid Blue (i have cans of the paint from the previous owner)
Plastic front bumper, fiberglass skirts&rear
Carbonfiber SiR hood w/Aerocatch hoodpins
Enginebay has been welded by a professional where the front crossmember, and rear support were cut to fit the headers/alternator bracket. New pieces have been welded in, and grinded down.
Side molding shaved, and doors have been cut and re-welded on the bottom to repair notorious rust, weld job was done good and there is 0 rust as visible from the inside.
Engine:
B18C1 freshly rebuilt head, full machined, etc.
B18C JDM block 50k orig, good cylinder walls+checked over by engine shop, even compression #'s
Place Racing engine mounts
Trans:
B18A cable trans w/lightweight flywheel & stage2 Clutchmasters clutch (unsure of flywheel brand)
Suspension:
Strut name is escaping me right now but they are adjustable struts w/lowered springs
Suspension Techniques rear swaybar
Strut tower braces
Wheels:
WedsSport TC-005 15" with Toyo Proxies %100 tread life (brand spankin new) wheels have NO CURB RASH and are in MINT condition. 5th wheel is included.
Exhaust:
RS*R full catback (100 miles on it)
DC headers
Omni cat-delete
Interior:
Painted black, looks very nice and matches well
Tenzo-R seats, drivers seat has a custom bracket under it to raise the seat up a bit, but can be removed. Seats are in very good condition.
New parts:
Brand new fuel tank & fuel tank brackets because i was sick of looking at the old one
MSD spark plug wires
Distributor (not a rebuild)
Fuel pressure regulator
Rear mounted battery Optima Redtop
Brand new Clutchmasters clutch+flywheel in the car, i have only put roughly 300 miles on it since i purchased it
Comes with the following parts OR parts are for sale:
Jackson Racing Supercharger freshly machined and polished on all contact sides (header+mating halves)
Brand new Stage 3 clutch & 8lb flywheel from ACT
Cosworth style wing painted to match
Half size radiator
Replacement sunroof
The good:
Motor is in great shape
Things done wrong on the car have been righted (originally had nasty *** dual exhaust, 18" wheels, blown motor, white interior, list goes on)
Great looking car as long as you don't mind it being ricy, the only part i personally don't like is the rear bumper.
Car is solid, and after some body work it would be a great car all around.
The bad:
Needs some body work, rear quarter on passenger side was kicked in by a jealous guy after he got his *** kicked. The hood flew up during a drag, windshield was smashed along with the sunroof. The original owner kicked the windshield out/hood down, still proceeded to beat the 240 with a time of 14.25 (this was when it was ls-vtec turbo). The top of the car looks decent, a little paint chipped off but no rust, sunroof is bent but still closes and seals, replacement is included.
