Kinda of a dumb question but looking to buy a fuel set up for my 700 horse build and wondering if a gas tank from an eg will fit into my em1 or are they completley different tanks

I'm pretty sure the obd2 fuel systems have some sort of pressure sensor that obd1's doesn't have. if it isn't connected, it will throw a check engine light.

other than that, should be the same. why do you want to switch fuel tanks?

 

most likely less wieghts? or they have the pump already for the build.

 

Not all OBDII cars have the tank pressure sensor either (like the '97 CX... I don't think hatches have them). 6th gen coupe and hatch tanks are interchangeable though.

All 6th gen tanks are 11.9 gallon tanks where some 5th gen tanks are 10 gallon and some are 11.9 gallon.
