Ok here's the deal. Im looking to getting a 94 DX coupe. The price seems right but before i go look at it i wanna know what exactly to look for. Ive been messing with honda's for a while but mainly crx's and just wanted to know some of the main issues that are common for these years. I checked the FAQ with the commons problems but i know there has to be more than that.

look for rust in the rear quarters
maintenance records, when was timing belt done
does the AC work
if it has power windows, do they work correctly

check for crash repairs, even tire wear, or brand new tires to hide that fact.

just basic stuff, there's no serious issues with them.

 

Also I would inspect/look at the upper and lower ball joints and bushings for wear. Almost certanly the rear bushings won't be too good unless they were replaced at some point.

cheack fluid levels also check to see the fuctions of the accessories lights, locks ect also check for camber wear on the tires
