Default acura integra gs overheats on idle

97 gs integra. It overheats when on idle. Engine acutally seems fine. changed radiator, thermostat and hoses. When idle it overheats but when i rev the engine the temp goes down. Any idea what is wrong?

you may want to try checking your waterpump out it could be bad. if its not then it can be your head gasket too. i would try the waterpump first though.

Sounds a lot like a hg. You have air bubbles sitting by your temp sensor and when you rev your engine, the bubbles get pushed away.

When you filled the radiator, did you turn the cabin temperature to its hottest setting before filling it?

try with the engine off but warm maybe a quarter of the way open the radiator cap slowly and listen for air pressure to release and close the radiator cap, it can release the air out of the system
