Looking to rent someone's S2000 in 2009
Yeah, this is a pretty crazy post. Basically, next summer I am attempting to do a cross country trip (like the Gumball Rally) with a group of friends. So I wanted to get an S2000 as my vehicle to drive. The trip would be 8200 miles and last 13 days.
I'm looking to pay over a grand for the rental and get listed on the car's insurance. My clean 2000 Integra GSR would be held as collateral. There's alot more details obviously, but I don't want to make this post more awkward than it is. So if you are somehow interested please PM me or email cmc090406@yahoo.com

If you get "listed" on the current insurance, wouldn't current owner be liable for anything that happens to you anyway? I would do it but you would have to get your own insurance and I would definitely want more than a grand.

Better start saving for one yourself. You realize how much could go wrong on this trip before you even own the car. For starts you won't be able to afford insurance after you land a ton of speeding tickets and possible arrest.
LOL this is funny
i just rented a yellow 2008 vette from hertz for a rally in august because our original car was having too many problems. just do that instead they offer plenty of luxury rentals.

After more consideration, you can use my M3. Since its not an s2000 ill cut the price down by half and add you to my insurance. I will pay any damages and just bring the car back at the end of the month sometime with almost no fuel and on a tow truck if possible.
sorry to bring this back, but as a former s2000 owner (i now bike to work so my old hatch gets me around the area well enough), i was looking at renting an s2000 for a weekend some time soon. this thread was the top google result. i couldn't not respond.
1000 for 13 days of what will likely be hard driving PLUS 8k+ miles? you're offering less than what i recently paid for an f'ing prius rental from hertz... and i only put 70 miles on it! that said, hertz is your best bet... they rent vettes for like 140/day (yeah, i know, double your budget).
edit: oh wait, you can't rent a car because you're 21. why do they have rules like that? oh, because statistics show you're going to be irresponsible with even a yaris.
