ok guys im tryin to figure out what tranny i have the kid i bought the car from said it was an american b16 i havnt looked at this until now the tranny still has the oem bar code that says s4c which is b16 but the vin starts with a J an the body code is DB7 can someone here help me out i dunno what trany this car came out of im guessing jdm b16 but i cud be wrong

Quickest way will be to pull the transmission case off and count the ratios.

It's for sure a B16 trans. Now whether it's JDM or US, look at the 2 holes where the green vin plate would normally be. If the holes are:

Threaded = US (vin plate should be there unless removed)
Not threaded & smooth all the way through = JDM (never have vin plates, only stickers)
