Default NEED HELP WITH FUEL PUMP!!!!! 90 std hatch

alright i have a 90 civic hatch with a 4 speed and a d15. i have been having trouble with starting it. the battery and main relay have both been replaced. but now since i put the new main relay in the fuel pump hums but it sounds like it is priming too much fuel. it just keeps spraying when its in the on position, not just giving it enough to start. it cranks over and everything just wont start. is it possible the engine could be flooding? and how could i fix that, if its the problem?

if you are getting spark then check and see if one of your injectors is stuck open you should be able to just pull the top cover off of the throttle body and look in there. i had this problem on mine.

I was gonna say just because there is oil on your spark plugs doesn't mean your head gasket is blown. Also if it was flooding that bad then you would have seen black smoke out the back, anyway I've had many of the same problems. I had to replace my distributor, fuel pump and main relay. and all the symptoms seem very similar. if oil was leaking inside the distributor that would be a good sign that it was bad. although there are many conditions possible. gl with the ls
