climate control
So my climate control broke where the metal arm connects on the temp selector. I figured it broke because maybe the heater control valve was worn or stuck. I replaced the valve and once again i cant change the temp from cold to hot. I didnt break it again cause i reframed from using force. It seems like the cables are pushing the metal arm up. is this because the cables are bad or the metal arm is worn out. I cant afford to buy another climate control for $150 bucks and have it break again.
my accord had this issue.
first time we tried to turn on the heat snapped the **** in half.
it was the heat valve in the engine bay had stuck. my rex does the same over time so i use a little bit of lube and they are good to go.

they seem to move by hand pretty easily and i already replaced the valve under the hood. I'll try to post picks soon. The part that is breaking is where the cables connect to the control unit in the dash
Look under the dash near the firewall and check the cable position. Play around with the temp. knoob to see if there's any binding going on.

The cable on the climate control broke because there was some binding so I repositioned the cable.

where i marked with arrow is where it is breaking. it pops out of the white spinning wheel and then you cant adjust the temp. ac only is nice now but in about a month its gonna suck. has anyone else had this problem?
