Whats up! I am new to this site as well as the Honda world. I just bought an 88 crx hf that has a D16A6 swap. I have been working to make it smog legal and fixing all the ghetto repairs that had been made to the car by the previous owner.

My current issue is the check engine light is coming up with a code 12, exhaust gas recirculation system.

Doing some further investigation I found a vacuum hose nightmare. It looks like the original equipment on this system that came on the HF is still in tact, however the D16 has a distinctly different vacuum diagram. The main one I can see is that the SI motors don't have an EGR valve and EGR lift Solenoid.

My ECU has a PM8 code on it which means it is the original HF ECU. Is there any ways to resolve this issue with out changing the ECU?
