Default PNF ECU on an A2?

Does anyone know if the PNF ecu from an A3 will work on an A2 once it is kprod?

I know I'm not answering your question but I just wanted to let you know you can run your a2 on your stock a3 ecu. Don't rev the engine much at all. Then you can go to Acura and get the a2 ecu/your key reprogrammed.

I believe you already have a kpro'd a3 ecu though and you want to keep kpro.

Well I'm just saying to get the car running right you can get your car reprogrammed on the a2 ecu for $60.

Any K-series ECU will work with any K-series engine after K-Pro. However, if you use the PNF ECU, you will no longer have the 6th gear lockout that prevents shifting into reverse.

Thats one of the main things i was worried about was the lock out. So everything would work fine until one morning im driving to work (half awake) and i shift into reverse going 60?

Well, you can't actually shift into reverse while moving forward. If you miss and hit reverse, it will just grind like it does when you try to shift into reverse while rolling forward slowly, just much louder and worse.

Yeah, you'll have to remember to be careful when shifting into 6th. Well I was running on my a3 ecu, I grinded reverse twice going for 6th.

If you're going to be using your kpro'd PNF, you may as well use your a3 engine harness and sell the a2. It's worth quite a bit.

Once it has kpro on it it will work fine.

is there anyway to get reverse lockout to work on the stock ep3 ecu with that swap. i was planning on having the ecu reflashed at hondata with the tsx specs. i would like to be able to keep the stock ecu and have reverse lock out if possible.

Why would you run a stock ep ecu on an a2 permanently?
