Blown radiator now a clink coming from top of motor...
I Drove my 96 Honda Civic Lx short distances for a day on "H". It blew the radiator when i took a friend home a half hour away from my home. Now there is a clicking coming from the top of the motor. Do you think its fixable or should i let it go. A friend said it could be fixable but i might also have damaged the bottom of the motor. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Why would you do that? you drove for half an hour that way?! That is not a short distance. You more than likely are now the proud owner of a 1.6L boat anchor. If it were me I wouldn't waste any money on that engine, drop in a replacement JDM engine and call it a day.

This is not good, I garantee the headgasket will blow soon.

Or a low mileage USDM engine.

Only problem with that is they're hard to find, or they are in canada anyway, no one junks a civic before 300,000kms here.

That may be the case in Canada, but I had no problem finding a used low mileage USDM D16Y7 here in the states.
NY Block Exchange is where I got it - compression and oil pressure checked, steam cleaned w/ 77k miles for just over $650.

Thats not bad at all, when I needed a D15B7 all I could get within a 3 hour radius were stripped D15B7 long blocks for between $400 - $500. I bought one and had a miserable expirence with it, only lasted 6000kms, pulled it and bought a complete, and I mean complete JDM D15B vtec for $683, shipped and pretty much swore off buying another junkyard engine. BUt if i could get a low mileage engine even semi locally that was clean, low mileage and had been compression and leak down tested i'd certainly consider it if the price was reasonable.
