Possible Upgrades Please....
Hey guys, ideal here again, so far for my modding, i installed a aem cai w/ bypass valve, and thats it so far, just moving one step at a time. But anways, i know this might seem like a weird question, but does anyone have a major list of what performance upgrades i could do to a 4th gen accord, i dont mean just like small, bypass here, exhaust here, but i mean just stuff, although i would apreciate that stuff in any list...heh... anyways, i know this might be long, just kinda wondering.

i keep hearing about fuel cells or something, and what other swaps can i do that are more powerfull than a h22a or h23a turbo

If an H23a1 Turbo doesnt give you enough headaches, try designing a flying accord. One step at a time maing.

Dont worry about fuel cells. Thats for the hardcore folks.

Yeah, im taking very very very slowly, one 1/4 baby step at a time, i just kinda want to learn about what kinds of upgrades are possible, thanks man.

Sorry, i am seriusly i complete newbie
What does DC 4-2-1 do, im guessing header, Do all accords come with NGK Wires, that really sounds familiar, its kinda late night over here, spark plugs right? and what are ZEX plugs, what do those do?
Sorry again, just learnin everythin possible on upgrades, do apprectiate this i do.
DC 4-2-1 would be the best. I think. Stock NGK Wires will work with ZEX plugs, just as long as both are new.

DC 4-2-1 Refers to a DC Sports 4 into 2 into 1. That implies that the pipes bend/merge from 4 (one from each cylinder) to 2 (1st set of collectors) to 1 (main collector, the one that would bolt to your catalytic converter.
Yes. Honda uses NGK wires from the factory. My recommendation is that your replace the ones that came on your car from the factory with fresh ones. That is all.
Zex Plugs refers to Zex Spark Plugs. They are a cold enough range to justify running a 55 shot without needing to retard the ignition timing any. They run ~$25 for a set of 4.
Thanks alot for the info sorry about all the questions, here are another few more...
is it hard to install DC 4-2-1? Will i notice any difference immediatly? And how much does it run to get it, and is it hard to install?
What does it mean when they are cold, and what does 55 shotmean, and what does retarding the engine mean(sounds bad, probably isnt, heh)? sorry about so many questions. I really apreciate the help alot

The header is an easy install. If you live in an area where they use salt on the roads during the winter it makes things a little more difficult as you will have to deal with corroded bolts. You will notice a little bottom end gone but made up in the higher revs. They run ~$310.
"Cold Plugs" Refer to the spark plugs reactions to cylinder head temp. On nitrous, the cylinder head temps rises significantly and if using stock plugs, this can cause pre-ignition aka detonation, where the tip of the spark plug becomes so hot that it ignites the air/fuel mixture without the need of actual spark. This is what destroys engines.
55 Shot refers to a 55 horsepower jet of nitrous.
Retarding the ignition timing refers to dialing the distributor to spark later in the combustion cycle, as to prevent the aforementioned detonation problems.

but i take it that i dont need nitrous to use those plugs right? What exactly happens when you lose bottom end, like what exactly do you feel, or i guess mean, and if i get higher revs, how does that help, i think this my last set of questions ,thanks alot dude, really really apreciate it. My car is automatic if that matters.
No nitrous, no need for upgraded plugs.
You know that instant push you get when you hit the accelerator. Like ~2000 rpm? You will lose a little of that but gain some as you climb in the revs. Your car is an automatic so the transmission probably absorbs all that bottom end already.
Ever consider an engine swap? Or another car?
edit: im going to bed. Take care.
