Default valves

we've had the cam threads but haven't seen much chatter about valves.

heres what I have collected in the past 2 hours of drinking beer and searching through HT on valves

*the omni valves and RM valves are one in the same. Both have great reviews. Read 1 negative comment about the omni valves

*supertech's are a great replacement valve, can be custom made to your specifics

*skunk2 valves fall in the omni/rm catagory

* I read a few people saying that flat face valves 'arent worth it' to get those few extra points of compression because of the the added weight to flatten the valve

I am considering the omni valves. I don't want anything custom, i'd like some new valves when my head is rebuilt, everyone has givin them good reviews, they seem to perform well...

Any input would be appreciated.

i have talked to more than one person that exclusively use supertech valves. when i dropped my head off to the machine shop the other day he started on the, "well we'll need to grind down the, did you already get these valves ground?" and was impressed by the supertechs

i just weighed the ferrera 6000 valves against the stock GSR. the ferreras are 5g lighter on both the intake and exhaust. also mildly necked down on the intake side.

anyone have any experiences on the RM and the Omni valves? Anything negative to say? Anyone put a Omni and a RM next to each other? Id like to know about the people saying they are the exact same thing...

RM now supplies Supertech valves. Ask him what that means.
