been looking for a new jacket previously owned alpine stars smk jacket. lookign into getting a new jacket with a speed hump since most injuries are head or neck related< yeah im a safety ****. the 2 jackets that i found appealing were the alpine stars rc-1 jacket and the the field sheer flex jacket. anyone have experience with these products? anyone recommend anything better for around this price range or cheaper?
The Fieldsheer stuff is better now with its quality. A* has a few quality issues with some of its gloves, but their customer service is usually top notch.
I'd take a look at New Enough's website for their Closeouts section. You can score some great NEW gear for not a lot of dosh. Sportbiketrackgear.com also has great deals on Closeout stuff.

I've never owned a Field Sheer jacket, but my Dad has 2 of them. The quality looks pretty good.
If you're looking for a jacket with the hump, I would suggest A* MX-1 or a Teknic (I forgot which model). I use an MX-1 when I commute and I like it. The only problem is if you're wearing a backpack, the hump gets in the way. I was going to get the Tecnic jacket but I got a really good deal on the MX-1 so I went w/ it.
As Marm said, Sportbiketrackgear.com would be a good place to look. Watch their youtube vids on each jacket and that should help your decision making. Good luck.
