And you still have more room under the hood than a eclipse.

If it's a 6 bolt, it's a solid motor. It'll handle practically anything you throw at it.

Now where's the AWD?

Just don't understand why? What can this motor do that a Honda motor can't do. Its not like he swapped in a LS1 or something like that.

Have the DSM made that much more power than an equally built Honda Motor? Why not swap in a MR2 turbo motor? Why not a Suby motor?

Yes I realize it is your car and you can do whatever you want, but why? Did you have the motor laying around? Is all your experience with DSM motors?

It's cheaper the engine is cheap much cheaper vs a Honda motor.

As power they have proven it not much more power just that it's done time and time again.

Why not MR2 3sgte why not a suby engine do you see that everywhere for $100?

The 4G63 is the top 4banger as far as boost goes.. Period.

You wont see a group of cars with more street driven 10+ second cars anywhere in anything under a V8 apart from GNs.

I love my Hondas, but even my K doesn't hold a candle to my 4g.

Especially from a money stand point. The only thing cheaper to go fast with is an over juiced F body.

i think the most expensive long block i saw was about $85 haha

Why are these so cheap? How are there so many of these motors out there? There aren't a whole bunch turbo eclipses out there. Is it used in all of
mitsubishi's models?

not sure why you'd do it with stock turbo or whatever and not throwing a bigger snail on, but it's pretty cool that it fits snugly in the bay there without screwing with the hood!

Its not a matter of there being more of them or the long blocks being cheaper. I can pick up motors for my Honda for less BUT there are more Honda people out there than DSMers so there isn't as much demand thus it appears there are more of them around.

In general stock for stock the 4g63 will out power every motor Honda has apart from the newer V6s.

But when you take in consideration the motors that are within the power range of a 4g63 are up there in price, and then are expensive to mod (K series.. F series) then the 4G63 becomes a clear winner. It's an iron block built for boost... unless you wanna stay N/A there is no reason not to go 4G63 if you have the means to do so.

they only make more power than anything hona has ever made becase it was turbocharged stock.

Turbocharged dohc I4 2.0 / 122 180-195 203

that's not the reason people want them. you want them becuase with $1500 wise-ly spent you're in the 9's

1500 and in the 9's no WAY no WAY. Let me see that parts list..... To each his own i guess, but it seems like a disgrace to honda to put some dsm **** in your car. It looks like the swap was done alright and good luck with it, but i just dont like the idea. The 4g63 is a strong motor but it def has some drawbacks just like anything else does.
