95 accord

Is it safe to just pop it out using a flathead?

 

I'm curious to know the answer too but it doesn't seem that easy.

The side moldings are the tricky ones. You gotta take off the door panel and squeeze the clips holding it on from behind. Squeeze it and push it out. For the molding in the front you gotta get to the clip thats inside the inner fender well lining.

Theres going to be holes.

 

take off door panel and the weird bag thing that covers the door internals and then you should see the clips that you push

 

The weird bag thing is vinyl or low-density polyethylene and that really weird stuff that seals it is butyl tape.

If you just rip them off it WILL leave dents on the door.
