ok here we go!Mycar is a vti 92 it has kn filter exhaust with racing catalytic converter ,reprogrammed ecu and itr cams with a 2 layer headgasket!It runs really nice,no problems at all!BUT just a few rpms before vtec kicks(5500 rpms)it flows black smoke from the exhaust and a smell of not burned fuel!So rich mixture!When we programmed the car though the wideband did not show us anything like that!After searching everything possible reason my question is:Can the catalytic converter cause this?Because is broken or mabye smaller than it should be?Or just faulty?Or anything else you may think!I repeat!The car is runnin fine!Really fine!But i have to stop this!
