Recently purchased A new type r trans.... Unhappy
Setup:
2000 Civic ex
B18C with stock Head
8.8cr, scat rods
50 trim 68ar turbo
S300
262whp 180tq @10psi
Prior to the Type r trans mission I had a gsr trans witch i still have...
I recently bought a Brand new tranmission from acura pretty much for the LSD, about one month ago. Im a little unhappy with the gearing. I didnt know how short it was. And i just paid $2000 for this thing
Its 4th and 5th that are way too short,
What are my best choices
1= rebuild the the gsr with lsd (it grinds 3rd and the diff wouldnt hold axles in)
2= What are my choices for 4th and 5th with he ITR Tranny
Thanks for reading!

I've always been a fan of tight gears and a long FD

It is nice. I prefer the 4.058 FD over the 4.250 with my MFactory close gearset. Works better on track too (at least on VIR as thats the only track I've been on since changing to the 4.058).
