just wanting some advise
so now ive got my 95 civic ex on the road the motor starts knockin .
i took it to a buddy of mine and he say its a collapsed piston ring so the piston is rattling in the cylinder. im wondering if i sould just rebuild the engine or get a new bottom end and put my head on it since the head is brand new?
can anyone help me out?

personally I would say just get a new motor, assuming your 95 ex has a d16z6. D-series motors are getting cheaper because of people going to B-series...I paid 250 for my d16z6

yeah thats what i was thinking but i am very much a noob when it comes to the actual removing and replacing the motor. i have done bolt-ons but i figure i would get opinions since i have to remove the motor. thanks for the advise,
to you, next on my list find a new bottom end.
