1986 Honda Accord Surges
2.0 Carb, 5 Speed Manual. Runs good when cold. When warms up, surges while driving (in all gears). It seems better if you lug the engine, or rev up to higher rpm (down /upshift). No problems at idle, or during hard acceleration. The problem seems worse when hotter outside temperatures.
Have also had random stalling of the car. The only way that i could keep the car going when this happens was to keep foot on throttle (as if holding same speed), and not touch the clutch pedal. I turn the key off for a second, and back to "ON" postion, and it start back up again. I have to do this numerous times when it acts up like this. Not sure if the two are related or not?
I have replaced: Fuel filters, plugs, wires, rotor, cap.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you
