94 accord coolant evaporating
I was wondering if you guys have any idea of why the coolant in my 94 accord dx is dissapearing? no leak.....not creamy oil for headgasket.....any ideas?
You can wait until it shows its face or get the system pressure tested.
I had leak for 6 months and then finally noticed it in the winter time because i finally saw steam coming out from under the hood. turns out it was just the upper radiator hose clamp.

You can lose coolant into the combustion chamber without necessarily having any coolant end up in the crankcase, or oil in the coolant. In this case you'd have a direct leak from the water jacket into the combustion chamber that didn't invlove any leaks into / from the crankcase.
You might also expect the cooling system to become hyper-pressurised from combustion pressures, i.e. high pressure gas could be escaping from the combustion chamber into the water jacket faster than the rad cap blow off valve can permit this pressure to escape from the cooling system. Check for 'hard' hoses, i.e. squeeze them to feel they seem to be 'pumped up' harder than usual.
Of course it does depend on whether my diagnosis is correct, and if so just how bad the leak is. If there is any leak at all, it will only get worse, so keep an eye on it...
