Default 2001 LX losing oil

Car. 2001 LX 2.3 litre. 5 speed. 125,000 miles. Oil always changed religiously.

Problem. I am losing oil faster than my 89 Prelude does. I don't hear any bad noises. I don't smell anything. There is no smoke. However It does look like the bottom of the engine by the tranny has oil and dirt on it. Doesn't leave puddles. Where is my oil going? It's almost like it gets really low and won't lose any more after it gets to that lowest level. Could it be oil pan gasket? Something common on these engines? It runs really well. Gets 30 - 32 mpg. The engine is really clean on top. If my rings were bad woudln't it smoke or foul plugs? My plugs were old and I replaced them and they just looked like worn out plugs with 123k on them. I'm going to continue to search also. I might take it to a Honda Dealer but if I can find the problem myself I would attempt it myself if it's not to hard.

Prolly an oil pan gasket for sure... or a hole in the oil pan. If its not any of those check the gasket on your valve cover, and all the gaskets on the screws holdin the valve cover on..
