89 crx hf swap wiring question
i just swapped over my b16 from my 91 to 89 crx HF. is there any difference in the wiring?
im getting a code 15 which is a distributor code. i'm pretty sure my distributor is fine, it was running yesterday in my other car. the guy i bought the car from had some wire rerouted in the engine bay. i tried it teh way he had it and i tried putting it back to stock. i got more codes when i put it back to stock. thanks in advance.

are you using the HF engine harness? - code 15 is for the igniter - the igniter wire in the HF harness is on the driver's side firewall connector - the Si harness has the igniter wire in the passenger side connector - all of the wires (except one) in the driver's side connector on the HF harness are in different locations than what they are in the Si harness - the Si anf HF engine harnesses are not interchangeable - you need to use the HF engine harness
so none of the wires are the same? is there any possibility i can swap around some of the wires so it will work? when i bought the car it had a motor swap already. not the HF motor. i think it was a d16a6. but im not sure whether it had the HF wire harness or Si. i guess i'll try that harness the old motor and see if it works.
ok. so i don't have the HF engine harness. but i know for a fact that the engine that was in the car before the b16 had a Si harness and it was running. and now it's in another crx and its running fine. i just need to know what wiring changes i need to make to the harness i have. does anyone know?
