Default 02 type s won't start

i've searched and found a couple threads about the same problem, but no definate answer.

i don't have the car yet, but i'm about to get it tonight. it doesn't start all the time. sometimes it'll start fine, sometimes it'll crank but seem like the battery is too low, and sometimes absolutely nothing happens. it will start no problem with a jump. the alternator and battery are brand new. i'm thinking there is something loose (connector wise) on the alternator, or there is a drain while the car is off.

my question is: has anyone ran into this problem before and what was the solution?

you can throw your "maybe answers" out here, but i've read a bunch of those already. i wanna talk to someone who has had the same problem and fixed it.

thanks

Why would you buy this car?

I hope you're getting an amazing deal...

This is the first I've heard of this on RSX or any car for the matter. The battery and alternator were replaced. The starter is working because you said it works fine on a jump and never mentioned the "click but no go" from worn contacts.

I'd basically tell the current owner you'll buy it if he gets a tech to diagnose and possibly fix the problem. The previous owner can't figure it out: he is already doing guess work buying an alternator and battery. Why buy someone else's headache? There are plenty of other RSX's out there.
