Default Dianese Airbag equipped riding suit

Pretty neat IMO, if you watch the riders head in the video, the air bags keep it off the ground, and from moving too much

IIRC, I think during a recent MotoGP race, the announcers mentioned that Chris Vermeulen is already rocking one of these systems in his current Dainese suit.

How does it choose to activate is what I want to know? I don't want to be walking in my suit, trip, and set the damn thing off, lol. Plus, I bet that thing is gonna cost a fortune...

id like to see a video of the same fall at the same speed without the air bag. its really hard to test this because a stunt rider or whoever they hire to fall is trained to fall in a way that it is controlled and as safe as possible. it isnt near the same as falling in real life. im not saying that it is useless, i just wonder its true effectiveness at protecting the head/neck

repost times like...10?

its activated by an accelometer. When you rapidly decrease acceleration, it deploys. They used to have a teathered system, but it wasn't quick enough.
