Default Need some help Please...

Ok recently my problem is from this thread

https://honda-tech.com/zeropost...80667

Ok I recently got this car as a trade. It already had the GSR engine in it. To make things clear I know nothing about B series engines since this is my first. So im trying to make sure everything adds up. Ok.... I just bought a multimeter(of which I don't know how to use) to try to test my vss. As stated my old thread I stated I have a Cel for VSS. Replaced and still same problem. So I bought a multimeter to see if I can find what's going on. So please if anyone out there can help me. Also I noticed that I have 2 wires coming from the engine bay to the ecu. The guy I got the car said he wired up the secondary butterfly. I've been searching up and down to learn about my engine but I need some help cuz I need to register it and smog the damm car. And a CEL=FAIL. Plus I now don't have Vtec. Also my ecu reads:

37820-P72-A02-970-105029

Iis this ecu the right one. Cuz I searched the faqs and ecu's list and so far that number complies to a OBD1? Unless that thread is missing something. Please read thru the above thread for more details of my concerns.

Ok well I tested the VSS plug and im getting in one wire 4.9v and on the other 11.8-11.9v. So im guessing im ok. So what's next? A faulty sensor? How can I check my speedometer? Or my ecu?

Man I can't believe no one on here can help me. Not even the B series gurus or anyone. Not even some opinions.

did you reset your ecu after switching VSS? and the p72 is the right ecu for that motor.

Yup....I removed the ecu fuse under the hood. But even so my speedometer still doesn't read. So even if I did or didn't remove it my speedometer still doesn't work at all.

No......never thought about that. If I open it up what am I looking for? Anything in particular?
