Weekend Warrior Autocross
I own a '02 Honda Civic SI. From what I've learned its not exactly the greatest car to upgrade and race in Autocross, but since I have it, why not give it a shot.
This summer I raced all stock. Did descent for a AC noob. Now im looking to do a bit of upgrading. Any suggestions on what would be good couple of starting upgrades to put me on the slightly faster track? My personal thought would be cold air intake then suspention, but I thought I'd ask the experts and honda gods here at honda-tech for the best answer(s).
From clicking on this post you've assumed correct in the fact that if you suggest an engine swap I'll look at you and say "whaaaa?" I'm learning but not afraid to try anything difficult, just the real big jobs i do not have the equipment for, nor the resources.
Thanks

More opinions and advices from true autocrosser's can be found here - take a look.
Personally, I'd practice more in stock form. The little modifications, perhaps even a sway bar, may have an affect to your driving and cause you to run a slower time in the pool of cones. There's no need for a bit of upgrading in anything on the car yet. Leave it as is for the meantime.
I suggest you practice more and more until you're comfortable with the car and know where it will go if you turn the wheel.
