Found a bike -- not done. But that's all I need to do!

Now I bet you can't wait until you get a bike that you can say is yours.
I know! My problem is now that in a month I go back to college. Granted, school is only 30 minutes away.. but, I don't know if I'll be able to pick up one before then.
A CBR600 or something of that nature. But there's a few VFR750's that look nice..but I dunno if that would be 'too much' for me.
Thoughts?

hey man good job, congrats.. i should be in your boat in sept. I have been thinking long and hard about the size of the bike i'm gonna get.. i mean the msf bikes will be 200-250s so i might be able to better guage what i'm getting into by that, but honestly.. i am starting at a 600 (maximum).. those bikes are already raceable. after talking to many many people I would prolly go with the cbr as well.. good luck and keep us all updated.. latr

The VFR is very docile...I really can't see it being too much for anyone unless you are physically unable to handle the weight, or to control your right wrist. They are comfortable daily drivers that don't give up a lot in handling or speed, and can be modified to hang with the best. Besides, that V4 just sounds cool
Here's a link to some sounds: http://www.yft.org/tex_vfr/tech/sounds.htm
Of course, I am sort of biased, as I own a '96 VFR750

Interesting..
Your thoughts on a a VFR750 vs a CBR600 for my first bike? I think the VFR is a little more tame, but the extra size (engine, and bike) makes me a little leary..
