ECU Trouble Code 17

ECU Trouble Code 7
the throttle angle sensor. the check engine light comes on every now and then under deceleration and the ecu shows me code 7 which is the TAS. in the manual, it says to take it directly to a dealer to be fixed while my friends tell me just to change the throttle body in its entirity. does anyone else know a way to fix it? i would like to have it fixed but i will most likely be doing a DPFI-MPFI conversion soon. my car is an 89 Hatch btw.

wait sorry, yeah its actually code 7. oops. yeah i used the manual and various places, including this site to figure out what that code was.
