i got an AUTOMATIC 98 lx all stock. I am new to the civic's myself and wouldn't mind some sigguestions. I mainly see parts for the dx, etc.. and manuals only. I'm looking for all of your suggestions to see what parts there are and will work best for my car, im looking to get exhaust and intake first but any ups you recommend let me know..thanks
I own a 96 sedan. Many of the parts for coupes and hatch will fit the sedan. Except for some body parts. d16y7 is basically useless for upgrades unless you want to build and go turbo. intake exhaust wil just make it louder and more annoying. First you need to figure out what you want out of the car and if youre definetly going to keep it before you start dumping money into it. First thing you should do is change all fluids, belts, filter, plugs, wires etc. Fix any broken stuff with OEM or good quality aftermarket. Check brakes, pads, CV joints, tires obviously. Lights. Then a good way to start is with a set of 15" - 16" lightweight wheels and some good tires. Next get a somewhat aggressive alignment. Then you can find some nice dampers and throw on a rear swaybar. Some window tint, Type R parts always look good. Just keep it OEM and high quality. Its going to cost alot.
Oh BTW...theres tons of info on this site you just have to read through everything. Check the FAQ theres lots of info. And listen to what other members say many people here are honda vet's they know ALOT.
