What's the difference between the 94-95 and 96-97 model year Accord bumpers?

On another post of mine, two people told me there was a difference, but I didn't get a reply as to why and what the difference is.

Anybody got pics of the differences in the bumpers they could point out to me?

the bumper lenses are longer than the 94-95

also, the 94-95 have a indented line going around the whole car including the bumper while the 96-97 is completely flat.

here is the front bumper from a 94 accord: notice the trim at the bottom: the painted area does not connect on the bottom-






and here is the 97 front bumper:
notice how it connects on the bottom with paint!-



you can probably tell by the pics urself, the rear bumper is a little harder to notice, and i don't have any pics of it, but there is a slight difference!...hope that helps!

 

Will the 97 front bumper bolt up in place of the 94 front bumper?

I'm a newbie to Accords, which is why I'm asking.

I personally like the 94-95 bumpers better. They look nicer, and I like the lip on the bottom.

i've seen several 94-95 accords with 96-97 front bumpers. also, my techno-r bumper is from a 94 accord. i know for a fact that the rear bumpers are not interchangeable cuz of the different trunk and tail light. with the lips... the front is not interchangeable but the rear lip... i have a 94-95 WW rear lip on my 96 accord

 

I did read the post. It says that the bumper lenses a larger and has a lower lip on the 94, plus it says that there is a indented line around the 94's that the later models don't have. It still does not say anything about the dimensions or whether the connections are different, which is what I want to know.

Thanks Big James. I always liked the way the 96-97 front ends rolled under instead of come down in a lip.

 

I should have clarified something though. i have only seen this done on the V6's, not on the 4 cylinders. However, I spoke with folks at Honda, and they said it could be done with both models.
