Is there a way to tell if a motor has been rag on?
I got my motor from a friend,sadly that motor has had 2 previous owners,,it has great compression,no smoke,or leaks,so is there a way to tell if that motor was driven hard?

Yeah there is no way to tell, for sure.
When I got my frist B16, I took the valve cover off and everything underneath was nearly black with scorched oil. I thought if it would even run, it would run like ****. Not only did it run well, six years later it still ran strong and didn't consume oil.
