anybody here owns a shoei syncrotec or hjc symax
how well do these helmets hold up, i was thinking of getting the hjc but afraid that if i fall and hit my chin area, the flip up part would easily pop andi'd end up with a screwed mandible. the shoei is expensive but if its tough, then i'll invest in one

Personally I would never wear one. Not keen on reconstructive surgery, and I am afraid to tempt fate by wearing one, because that'd be the time I take a real digger and land chin-first. Some people swear by 'em, but I am not comfortable with the risk.
