Which Service Manual to Buy?
I was wondering if you guys have a prefernce in which service manual you like to have. Haynes have been fairly easy for me to get from your local autozone, etc, but I wonder how that compares to others, like Chilton, in terms of ease of use and detail.
I have a 94 and 05 accord. I have the Haynes for both, but my next big job is replacing the A/C evaporator on the 94, so I'm wondering if I should consider a better service manual before I get into this job.
I now know that I can get the "official" honda service manual from dealer, but those 3 times more than the Haynes. I wouldn't mind getting it if someone can tell me that they are superior manuals.
Thanks.

i dont have a book on the 94 accord but i think i have an offical honda manual for the 03accird if you want it, i think it should be the same as the 05 models...$50 shipped..ur best bet is the factory service manuals since its pretty much step by step process

Im not sure about your state, but I do know in some states here in the Great US of A it is against the law to replace any A/C related products on your car (unless it is a belt) if you are not a licensed service center.
I was informed of this just a couple of days ago...(it's against the law here in WI) So I wanted to share the info w/ ppl.
But as far an a repair manual... stick with the Haynes manuals.... since the new editions were just put on AutoZone's shelves a couple of weeks ago!!!!

If you've ever seen/used/read a Helm (official honda manual) you'd never want to rely on a Haynes again. There's a reason why they are more money, they're also 2-3x the pages with that much more info in it.
