Default burning antifreeze

i got a 94 accord 4 cylinder non vtech (f22b2) with 259000 miles on it and it likes to burn through antifreeze....i fear for the life of the car that the head gasket is leaking. what can i do to mabey further diagnose this problem. the only reason i think it could be this is becasue my father had a mecuery sable with around the same amount of miles and it was doing the same thing and that fixed it, and ive heard that around 300k accords generaly need it to be replaced.

I had the same problem on my accord, then I changed the head gasket and everything was allright

I think, the head gasket is the cheapest way, maybe you need to change all head, but I hope it is the gasket.

but if the head gasket was gone the engine oil level would rise? correct? i just had to add a little bit of oil to the car. also when i drive to work (52 miles one way) with the ac on it will spike the temp gauge to the half way line. normally it sits about between the cold and mid line. ""history of the car"" im the second owner with perfect maintenance history. all done by the book by a person that doesn't know anything about cars. then i got the car and drove it across country (MD to AR) hauling a 5' by 8' uhaul trailer. got hot 2 times i pulled over both times allowed lots of time to cool off. and now it will hit the mid level after driving with the ac on around town. i just don't have the money to buy a radiator then after that doesn't work put on a head gasket. i just need to know what i need to do to better guess what is wrong with the car. ANY OPINIONS ARE WELCOME!

no you will not see the level rise.remember the coolant is going into the exhaust via combustion chamber. to confirm 100% have a shop use a 4 gas on the cooling system and it will confirm good or bad. h.c in the cooling system is a coolant leak some where in the system most cases the head gasket. a cracked head will mix the coolant and oil.
