i have a 93' civic ex with b16a, i just recntly finished putting the b16 in the car my car idles extremely high around 1500rpms, i have narrowed the problem to my throttle body gasket, but have changed it three times since. first i got the generic auto parts store gasket, then i went and got a honda parts gasket, and now currently i have a gasket made out of cork paper, and it still leaks, any help would be super

 

Something wrong with either your throttle body or your intake (assuming you were putting the gaskets on right every time)

Maybe they are warped, cracked.... or...... your throttle cable is keeping the TB open tooo much.... which would also cause the idle to be higher!!!!!!

 

well i think it might be on right, but i dont think it has anything to do with the cable i tightened everything up before i put the cable on but i sprayed some leak stuff to find out where its coming from and its leaking there, so i started replacing gaskets... it might have a little bit of the old gasket around the bolt that i just gave up on scraping off could this cause it
