ok i have a problem. i removed the complete exhaust from my car just left the oem header with a oem cat non hollow. i have a reflash on my ecu which leans it out a little bit, so when i started my car my air/fuel ratio gauge read slightly rich. so i was like wtf i did not care so i start driving my car and i missed second gear at 7700 rpms. next thing i know i got flames coming out my cat and the cat is glowing read. now the car sounds like i got a bent valve. and the airfuel ratio gauge is maxed out at rich??? im just going to wait till the mrning to started with a cold cat. does any one have a clue on what happen. the car can berly idle and its thrwing flames out and it sounds like a baja bugy lol

 

sounds like you have a bent or broke valve(s).

What exactly do you mean by missed second gear? Also do you have a check engine light on?

 

Check the plugs and figure out which cylinder is running rich. Why even post this without that info?

How do you know its running lean/rich? Please don't tell me you have a narrowband o2 gauge and think it's accurate.

yes i do have a shitty air/fuel ratio gauge but the point is i dont need to know exactly how rich its running when the gauge is maxed out. thats pretty much bad. its funny how i ask for help/slash opinions and there is always someone that has to come of with a bad attitude. if you got nothing nice to say why even open your mouth. honda-tech is a place for friends and car enthusiast. why do you have to come with your sarcasm. people like you discourage people from telling us their problems because 1 they are to embarrassed of our opinions or suggestions 2 they dont want to post a quetion that is going to lead to a 10 page smack talking because they do not know all the facts.
