Default B18B1 with GSR tranny vss plug doesn't match?

Hey guys, I swapped a B18B1 into my 93 civic hatch, and it's paired with a tranny from a GSR. It all runs except the speedo doesn't work. The plug from the engine harness doesn't seem to fit into the VSS plug. Are they not compatible, or do I just need a new plug? Is there a way to bypass the plug, if I cut it off and used butt connectors? I assume that probably wouldn't work, but that's the level of desperation I've reached here with ideas to get it working.

I'm not too sure on this, but if the wires are the same (same # of wires and function) but the shape of the plug is different, you could just cut and splice on the right plug.

make sure the speed sensor is pluged in with the little clip so it doesnt slip out.

No need to cut and splice..do it the clean way and just pin it

i do believe they are all the same 94-01 with 3 pin plug, power, ground, and the information relay wire. i replaced my 96 with a 99, the bottom part of the sensor bolts up differently but the 3 pin plug is the same
