Default 1993 Honda Civic --- B16 vtech --- won't rev above 3500 RPMS [neutral, gear, reverse]

I'm from Biloxi, MS. We just had this damn hurricane....

I think my ECU or SOMETHING got wet because, my car starts -coughing- and not going over 3500 RPMS... and that happens in each gear.

Now, sometimes it does that. Than I stop and shut it off... and its back to normal.

Any ideas? I got B16 motor, and chipped b18d ECU ... if that matters.

99% ignition coil. Hurricane = huge humidity and moisture increase = shorts in the coil.

You'll probably end up replacing your entire distributor. Borrow a friend's and make sure it's the problem first to save yourself the sticker-shock

reach ur finger inside the TB while the motor is on, block the hole passage way to the IAC sensor, if your motor doesnt stall or idle low, then ur IAC sensor is bad.

TB= Throttle Body

Remove your plastic intake tube from the intake manifold (pictured). The plastic tube connects to the Throttle Body (pictured #11) The IACV/eacv (pictured as #17)

I did what you said... but I had the sensor unplugged -- car didnt idle or stall.

I know, I have to have the sensor plugged in that plastic peace. I will do that in a sec.

But here is a vid, of what it sounds like:

3000-3500 RPMS

So, if it is my distributor. ... I need to get a new one badly. But, I really dont understand whats up with it. I took the dist. box cap, and ... that does need replaces because the screw dug a whole in the cover. Perhaps cuz it was not in all they way.

Dunno ...

Well, my check engine light been on since the swap. But I figured --- hey I might find something new.

21 - VTEC spool solenoid valve
10 - intake air temperature sensor
4 - crank position sensor
3 - manifold absolute pressure sensor

You guys have already told me it could be the IAT. But, WTF is 21 and 4? Or I should say...where.

And where could I get them... I looked on e-bay, the results weren't too satisfying.
