Pulling a wheelie, I can see that as being "reckless." Likewise, 50mph over the speed limit (if I'm reading that correctly), I can see as being "reckless" and thus deserving of a high fine/punishment.
$1000 fine for improperly mounting a tag though? That's just ridiculous.

-keep your "pink" NY license/plates. be ignorant to the "new laws". you'll be surprised. serious.
-"revoked for 10 years"......so, how long do multiple DUI/DWAI convictions lose their privileges?

"Wheels" is plural meaning both wheels have to leave the ground. Case dismissed

Well in some defense it's kind of hard to get rid of them when there aren't curves around. Are you supposed to drag knee in an intersection?

Done. I noticed that, too. Loopholes
I think this law against wheelies and the excessive speed law are a decent idea, but like someone said above, the improperly affixed tag law is silly.

There is always the on ramps.....
Sorry my statement was more of I probably wouldn't ride a motorcycle if I lived in Florida. I was very bored riding there.

Mother of god!!!! This used to be the land of the free... Maybe we should change that to land of the TAXED... And they wonder why some guys run. That tag violation is crazy
they used the anti-speed, and wheelie guise to railroad in some ridiculous ****.

I've already gotten one tag light ticket that was complete BS. I've seen guys get a ticket for having their visor up when riding (no eye protection.)
if I get another tag violation, I'm selling the bike. I can't afford to risk getting losing my license for a year, and it would make me sick to stare at the stock rear fender / tag mount.

It's just a money grab that's all. The general population sees motorcycles as a nuisance especially sportbikes so the law can pick on us without people standing up to it. Think of it like a smoking ban.
Tag violations arent point bearing..... so no need to worry about losing your license. Also, if a stock mud flap is enough to give up one your desire to ride, you should have sold the bike a long time ago.
its anywhere you live these days. California as tons of stupid laws too. But at least we have corners!
