release the air in your tires?

uhm i think you could use some hook style wrench type things... (if you can picture what im talking about) but the actual wrenches are best.

also you may need a spring compressor or else you may not be able to turn the things to lower or raise the car because of the pressure.

you could use a screw driver and a hammer but that may be a little harder to do with out fubar the coilovers. i would ask around town i am prety sure somebody in your town with a civic has a coilover wrench if al else fail go on ebay and buy the cheapest set of coilvers snag the wrench and turn around and sell them

just jack your car up then lossen the screw and just adjust it by hands. it's simple. no need to have that adjusting wrench.

You should be able to go to any auto parts store and get a spanner wrench.

i tried the screwdriver and hammer thing and it would not move at all. it seems like the coilovers have been on the car for a while.

make sure you go the right way. They tighten against each other to stay "locked" at a certain height like a jam nut. make sure your not tightening them

I had PB Buster, sprayed the **** out of the collars, let it run in there for a bit. Then I started hammering away on one of the hooks or what ever, it started spinning haha. I didn't hammer HARD to the point where damage shows, but I held one collar, while tapping at the other.
