Car jumps when changing gears..
I drive a 98 Accord EX 6 Cyl Automatic
When I first start the car after it hasn't been running for a while, it has trouble changing gears (don't know the proper words). If I keep my foot on the gas, the rpm will go up to 5 or 6 before it changes from first to second. It causes the car to jolt forward and it sounds like if you're holding down the gas and switch to neutral for 3+ seconds. It happens a tiny bit when going from 2-3. After I've been driving the car for a while or if it's hot weather, it doesn't happen at all. What's going on?
My GF tried to do me a favor and get the transmission fluid replaced, but Honda said that the fluid was fine and wanted to charge her $120 to figure out what's wrong. I wanted to ask you guys before they try to rip me off too.
Help is greatly appreciated.

How many miles do you have on this Jewel?
I believe there is an extended warranty for your car.
The 98 Accord transmissions are not the best honda has ever produced.
Mr Hondadude once said "you couldn't run fast enough to give me the key and title to a 98-00 Accord with auto trans".
Common failure symptoms are fluid seepage at the inner axle seals as well as differential noise/growl at idle speed.
