Default CRX "peep" glass, where to find?

I called the local Honda dealership, and the guy said that the glass has been discontinued. He said that there were 0 available, and no other dealership had one...

Now what? I've been to the local junkyards looking for a decent hatch, but they're either all rusted, or the back glass is busted; not to mention I haven't found a white hatch yet, but I can deal with a different color... Is there a company that is selling this glass, or do I just have to pay someone to cut one out of another car?

I wish my mom hadn't backed into me...

They order parts directly from Honda as well, I just called. Honda has none of these. So this will be the same story with HondaPartsDeals.com or any other site that is directly related to Honda OEM parts. Dealerships can also request parts from other dealerships if they have the part in stock, and dude at Honda said that there are none available.

I'd called Safelite, Quack it glass, or a local shop.

Local shops said to call the dealer... I'll get some info on Safelite and Quack it and call tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.

I was right!
Keep trying Junkyards, you'll find a good one eventually. I don't own a CRX but can you replace it or does replacement require a whole hatch?

It has to be cut out and resealed, similar to a windsheild. My reasoning is that it would be cheaper to buy the whole hatch and put it on the car than pay someone to drive to the junkyard, cut out the glass, cut out my glass, and install the new one. I'm running out of options though.

If i were you, i'd take the faster way out and just buy the whole hatch and replace it myself. But it might cost a little more because of paint-matching unless you find one the same color as yours.

I work for a dealership selling parts. I bought the last glass set Honda had. I got hit in a Jack in the Box drive through and a lady in a lifted Excursion didn't see me. Her insurance paid for it though. I also called a couple salvage yards and they only wanted to sell me the whole rear hatch for $100 bucks. I think that would be your best bet. Then just have a glass shop install it for you. Good luck

Thanks for the help guys! I think I'm just going to buy a hatch from a junkyard.

Thanks for the offers on the hatches, but I'm afraid that shipping it would be more than the part's worth...
