the only difference is how the caliper bolts to the bracket. 88-89 bolts are much smaller than 90-91. but the 17mm bolt for the whole caliper assembly with the bracket should bolt up fine. meaning you should use 88-89 bracket for 88-89 caliper and 90-91 bracket for 90-91 caliper.

in terms of the brake disk itself, they should be interchangable between years of crxs.
