93 honda accord slop in steering wheel after rack/pinion replacement
how do we take the slop out of the steering wheel on this piece of ----.. We replaced the rack and tie rod ends and now we have slop...Thanks
What do you mean slop?
When you replaced the tie rods was the steering wheel centered?
You might also need alignment.......Toe has to be set back to spec

It's not because the car is a "piece of ----", it's because you installed something incorrectly or fitted a faulty part.
First be sure the "slop" isn't from inner or outer tie rod joints
On the back of the rack there is a big giant nut[#3] with a bigger humongus locking nut[#6]. See Pic Below
Loosen the locking nut and turn the tension nut in very small amounts until you feel the slack decrease.
Then hold the center tensioner nut in place while you tighten the outer locking nut.
You don't want the tension overly tight against the rack however.
