Pic Request/ Info- DC Integra with STOCK painted Side Skirts
I just purchased another pair of the regular OEM black Integra side skirts, or whatever you want to call those ugly things. Im extremely **** so I purchased another pair to paint, just in case it doenst work out. I searched and looked through the pics but didnt really find any good pics of DC Interas with the Black sides painted to match their cars. I would LOVE for anyone to post any pics of that for me, and if anyone who has done this themselves have any advice or any information to tell me.. I want it to look mint and near factory, Or Im not going to put them on my car. Thanks guys.
Edit: Any color Integra is helpful, but bonus points to anyone who posts Milano Red Teg w/ matching side skirts.

i took it to shop to have it painted for the color to match. However, when i had my subaru i painted the side skirts myself...
Clean the side skirts
optional-sand them down a little bit with 600 grit.
spray adhesion promoter
then you are ready for primer+paint

To prep the side skirt or any part that you wish to paint, You must first wash the part.
1) After washing and drying is done (make sure its cleaned thoroughly) begin sand it down with 500-800 grit, lightly.
2) Then water sand the part with 1000 and up grit, and work you way up....Take your time, and try to get rid of any deep or rough markings/ imperfections.
3) After you water sand the part and satisfied, clean it again this time with mineral spirit (its a fast drying cleaning chemical agent), or use lacquer thinner.
4) Make sure, the side skirt or part is cleaned good. And no debris, dirt, or dust left over. Next begin mixing your primer (if you decide use a spray gun, or if you cheap use the already mixed primer in spray can) and lightly coat several layer on the part. Please take your time and do one part at a time. It's better to do several light coats in between time, than doing a freaking heavy coat (trust me I've been there done that)...
5) Once prime is completely done drying, apply your base coat ( If you plan on buying professional paint, or cheap stlye spray can). Please, do several light coats until the part is completely covered...DON't spray a heavy coat, it will have paint runs...
6) then apply your clear coat, with the same technique above...
As for paint, I recommend using Dupont or PPG paint...or if you cheap buy some good quality spray can paint....

Even then it isnt what he wants. The black pearl wont look anything like the black side skirts. May be the same color but a COMPLETELY different finish, gloss and flat dont look good together IMO unless its body/wheel. But body/body should match in my eyes.
