Default using the front brake set up on rear?

i have a 95 gsr and i will be getting a big brake kit for the fronts in the near future. I was wondering however if i could use the front brake system on the rear. What would i have to do to make that happen? I know it wont imporve braking since the fronts do most of the works. The rears look tiny though so i want to make them look bigger without wasting money by buying brake kit for the rear.

All you will accomplish by doing this is hurting your braking power. Leave the rears alone.

You wish to take a front brake system from a car with a 61/39 weight distribution and place them on the rear. This would lead to an unstable situation during braking as the rear wheel would be prone to skidding. Big brake hits are not so much about improving brake torque as they are about mitigating brake fade. Usuable brake torque is limited by the tires. Placing brake calipers and rotors intended for the front on the rear of a heavily weight biased vehicle would substantially increase the rear brake torque and lead to rear wheel skidding and oversteer.

i was considering the same thing if i did the wilwood 4 piston kit & ran ht-10's up front on track day. i'm going to drive the stock rear first only because our cars are so nose heavy. i do kind of like the idea of using wilwoods in front and the stock fronts in back. i have this feeling that the type r master cylinder would be smart along with a brake bias controller. actually the bias controller is mandatory. first things first though. at this point i haven't even tried ht-10 or dtc pads on the stock brakes. i know they will vaporize the rubber seals but even if, extra calipers and a second set of rotors is still cheaper than a brake upgrade. the HPS and stock are fine on the street. it's just track day i need to experiment with.

i guess you are the dumbass since you didn't see my post above yours. My front and rear rotors and pads are already brembo stock size replcaments. The tires are drag radials. I just wanted to make the rears look a little bigger since they are tiny and look horrible.
