Yes. GM Synchromesh Fluid FM is good stuff. I used it in my 1991 Civic I had and after 100K, no grinds at all. Now, as far as a newer car, I have used RedLine MTL in my 2005 EP3 and have had no grinds whatsoever and I have driven hard and tracked the car a couple of times. The RedLine allows the gears to shift like butter. If you were to take a brand new Honda with Honda MTF, drive it for a while, then drain and fill with RedLine, you would notice a definite difference of feel in the gears. Also, you could add in Honda MTF with Lucas oil additive. It works well to stop grinding in transmissions.

It's under a new name now. I believe Pennzoil makes it but it says equivalent to GM synchromesh right on the bottle.

I use Honda MTF. Was only like $12 at the Acura dealer (2 qts).
