Default Megan Racing lowering springs

Just got them and im gonna put them in, but they only offer like a 1.8 inch drop (wack) if i was the cut the springs to make the car even lower, would i ride like **** or no?

i would NEVER cut or heat springs ... personally i have never seen a car that doesnt ride like **** after doing that crap

Sell them and buy a set of something else, you will not be happy trying to modify your springs.

U can cut springs but u really have to know what ur doing

Short answer, for u, no

Long answer/background, most lowering springs have about 6-7 coils that are live, and then another 4 or 5 coils that are dead. U can get away with cutting 1-2 dead coils, just have to take measurements and make sure it's all even. I had Tanabe DF210 springs and cut the rears, they came out fine.

^ Not necessarily, it depends heavily on the current spring rates/etc.

Heating them gunks up the spring rates. Cutting them is just as bad.

I def. don't recommend heating them. Cold cutting is doable though.
