Front brakes locking up
Got a '99 Accord. Approximately 2 months ago the front brakes started dragging real bad. After inspecting the calipers, rotors and pads I determined they were all in good shape and checked the fluid. It did look kinda old and has some sludge in it. I drained the whole system and clean the reservoir, then bled the whole system. It worked just fine after that.
2 days ago it started doing the same thing but it seemed it was only the driver's side locking up more. So I went ahead and replaced the driver's side caliper and brake hose.
Last night the front locked up pretty bad.
I am at a lost.
Any ideas or experience with this?
TIA.

Was the master cylinder replaced recently? Could it be out of adjustment? If so, you'd find the brakes engage very soon after you press the brake pedal. There are some locknuts you loosen to adjust the clearence between the pedal and the master cylinder piston.
When you let off the brakes does the pedal stay low when the brakes drag? If so, the master cylinder could be sticking.
I've found that sometimes the gunk in the lines is too big to make it out the bleeder screw. In those cases, I will remove the bleeder screw completely and pump the brakes a couple times. Beware, it will be messy, so put a catch can under the caliper. Then replace the bleeder screw and do a thorough bleed to get the air you sucked in out of the system.
Have you checked the slider bolts the caliper travels on? It could be that the hydraulic system is working just fine, but the pins are not sliding smoothly in the caliper carrier, resulting in the caliper binding against the rotor. Usually when this happens it is the outer pad that is dragging since the pad on the piston side retracts. TO check, remove the caliper and just try and slide the pins in and out of the carrier by hand. THey should slide pretty much effortlessly.
That's all I can think of...

The MC has not been touched. I don't think it's the problem because the issue is so intermittent. The slider bolts were replaced and well greased.
Drove it to a friend who works at a brake shop and after spending all day looking at it he couldn't find anything wrong. Drove it home and the front started locking up again. Got out and only the driver's side (the side I replaced the caliper and hose) rotor was glowing red.
